About Us
PASSION
Sigma Alpha is a professional agricultural sorority that promotes scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship. The sorority was founded in 1978. Today, more than 9,900 members have been initiated into Sigma Alpha Sorority. Sigma Alpha is a member of the Professional Fraternity Association, a national organization of professional Greek letter organizations, The Consortium of Collegiate Agricultural Organizations, and an associate chapter of the Panhellenic Council.
INVOLVEMENT
Sigma Alpha is involved in many events within the College of Agricultural Sciences and throughout the university. The sorority sponsors fundraisers, social events, professional speakers, sister bonding activities, and community service events throughout the year in which sisters and members of the community participate. As an associate chapter of the Panhellenic Council, Sigma Alpha participates in
Homecoming and Greek Week.
Objective
Cultivating Professional Women In Agriculture
The objective of Sigma Alpha shall be to promote its members in all facets of agriculture and to strengthen the bonds of friendship among them. It is the purpose of the members to strive for achievement in scholarship, leadership, and service, and to further the development of excellence in women pursuing careers in agriculture.

To be the foremost organization fostering academic excellence and professional development while encouraging networking and lifelong bonds for women leading the agricultural industry. We strive to build diversity by marketing our organization on an international level.
